Flexor Digitorum Superficialis (FDS)
- Instruct the patient “Bend your finger at the middle joint” while stabilizing their other fingers (otherwise FDP tries to help out)
- Insertion: middle phalanxes of fingers
- Action: flexion of proximal interphalangeal joints
- Innervation: Median nerve
